from Suelo Tide Cement                                                                                  —Christina Vega-Westhoff

Beside the hammock in
which I write men
shoveling emptying &
transporting cement
with purpose as of yet unclear
possible storage
facility of maker
the old man owner
who stood before the eggs

if the road to the inside of
was built less than one hundred
years ago
the sounds if we are seated
on top of gurgling
only masked over by

     _____

some grey swatch of presence
the clouds over Gaital
this morning that will
make the last stretch of
the climb a challenge

over the chest neck &
head—
the wind in the midst of journey
